FAQ

What is double wide hockey tape used for?

Extra-wide tape covers the blade in fewer wraps for a smoother surface and faster tape jobs. It's popular with goalies, defensemen who tape heel-to-toe, and anyone tired of doing 30 overlapping passes.

Is wider tape heavier on the blade?

Coverage is similar to a fully-taped 1" job — you simply use fewer wraps to get there, often with less total overlap.
